EMEA Charity Partner program grows in 2021
Employee support for Charity Partners in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Overseas France and Suriname (EMEA) continued to grow in 2021, demonstrating employees' commitment to The PPG Way by serving the communities in which they live and work.
In 2021, employees at more than 50 PPG sites in EMEA supported 28 Charity Partners in 14 countries. In addition, they donated nearly 4,000 hours of their time to projects and contributed more than $160,000 to Charity Partner organizations.
In the wake of the pandemic, several sites, including those in the United Kingdom and Finland, supported efforts to strengthen mental health services for children, adolescents and adults. Other sites, including locations across Poland, Italy, Spain and France, focused on community health through their support of local hospitals and hospices, and medical research.
In addition, employees at multiple sites in the Czech Republic, Denmark, Nigeria, Turkey and other countries conducted frequent collections of food, clothing, school supplies, and other in-demand items for those in need. Those in Russia and Switzerland also donated to their Charity Partners through PPG's payroll deduction program. Employees across the region also participated in international Giving Tuesday efforts.
